2500 Miles of Concrete – The Hoover Dam

During my recent trip to Las Vegas, We managed to take a day in order to drive over to something I’ve always wanted to see: The Hoover Dam!

It was on my Uncle’s bucket list to see the Dam and the surrounding area, so we, of course, had to make a trip! I brought out a newer lens I hadn’t really had a chance to play around with, and I also brought my first vintage lens to show my cousin and take some panoramas.

Would you believe that the massive Hoover Dam took four years to complete, and was ahead of schedule? It took 2500 miles of concrete to make the Dam. Can you imagine pouring 2500 miles of concrete in just four years? It’s really hard to understand how massive the Dam is until you actually see it.

These pictures might not do it any justice.
