As the Summer comes to an end and the weather begins to cool down, so does the car show season in the Bay Area. I was fortunate to catch what ended up being the very last Blackhawk Cars and Coffee for the rest of the year, before the Blackhawk Museum changes the show to a new format to combat the issues that were raised in my last post.
The new Cars and Coffee format will no longer be free to the public, and it will be highly encouraged that those who do come to visit see the show apply to become members of the Blackhawk Museum in Danville in order to enjoy discounts and other perks. Although a controversial decision, this new format will hopefully help keep Blackhawk Cars and Coffee alive, while addressing some of the complaints that were raised against it.
In any case, I’m glad that this car show is not going by the way of the Dodo for now, but time will tell of this decision to close off the show to the general public will work out in the long run. In the meantime, there are still plenty of other car shows to check out in the Bay Area!
Enjoy!
